Tower Engineering Group was retained to provide Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural design services to convert a vacant warehouse space in Northeast Calgary to a modern vehicle inspections centre for Intact Insurance. The scope included the analysis of existing building systems, design of roof reinforcement to support mechanical systems, addition of a new mezzanine, addition of new ventilation systems in inspections area, design of electrical and mechanical systems for office area with exposed round ductwork, LED luminaires, lighting controls and various life safety systems upgrades. Tower provided Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Design.

Confusion Corner Bar and Grill, Winnipeg, was designed by GBR Architects. The building is approximately 5,500 sq. ft. with a basement and roof patio. Tower Engineering provided the structural, mechanical and electrical design and construction drawings for this project. During construction, Tower staff provided site inspections and contract administration.
The facility included the construction of a fully sprinklered 7,200 sq.m. (77,500 sq.ft.) combination Industrial / Commercial Building, the installation of a Process Line for converting Nylon Pellets to Nylon Sheets, and all of the Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical infrastructure required for the Process Line to operate. Tower Engineering preformed the role of Project Management, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering & Design.
125 Garry Street is an example of one of the most successful energy efficiency upgrades undertaken by Tower Engineering Group. In this time of increasing concern over the environment, dwindling natural resources and rising energy costs. Tower presents a project where a typical, modest office tower can reduce its natural gas consumption by over 50%, its electrical use by 15% and its greenhouse gas production by over 300 metric tonnes. This was achieved through the innovative application of current technology, while increasing functionality, operations and occupant comfort. Tower Engineering achieved an Award of Merit in Building Engineering by the Consulting.
The Canada Building is a historic 7 storey building built in 1910 in downtown Winnipeg. Tower Engineering, working with Nova Con Projects and Prairie Architects, renovated the building with new mechanical and electrical systems. The building houses the head office for the Province of Manitoba Housing Development. Tower Engineering’s Role was the Mechanical and Electrical Design.
