Seasons of Tuxedo is a major retail destination in south Winnipeg, developed with multiple CRU pad buildings and national tenants. As part of this large, phased development, Tower Engineering provided mechanical and electrical design services for several pad buildings and tenant fit-ups, coordinating across different users and construction schedules.
A highlight of our work was supporting the design and installation review of an innovative geothermal heat pump system serving one of the retail strips. While modest in scale, the system represented a forward-looking approach to energy efficiency, reducing heating and cooling loads and offering long-term operational savings for tenants.
Our team ensured the system was integrated effectively within a complex, multi-tenant environment — balancing reliability, phased occupancy, and cost efficiency.
“Even on a smaller scale, the geothermal system at Seasons of Tuxedo showed how innovative design can reduce operating costs and improve efficiency in a busy retail environment.”
