Our Winnipeg office is looing to add A Structural CAD Designer to our team. is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software to support the design and construction of residential buildings, industrial and commercial spaces. This role ensures designs meet safety standards, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers.
Drawing & Modeling: Prepare and develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for structural components, including foundations, structural steel, and concrete elements.
Design & Review: Review and modify designs for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project requirements; implement design change requests as needed.
Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to create comprehensive design packages and resolve technical challenges.
Education & Experience: Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field; relevant work experience in structural CAD design preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit for both 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in drawings, dimensions, and calculations to ensure structural safety and compliance.
Analytical Skills: Ability to assess designs, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Other Assets (Optional): Familiarity with local building codes, structural standards, and construction practices is considered an advantage.
