We are currently looking for an mechanical engineer who holds an OIQ designation to join us at any one of our locations (Kelowna, Calgary, Winnipeg)
If you already have your P.Eng. designation in Canada, you can apply to the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) for registration. However, you must be fluent in French and able to demonstrate that you meet all Quebec-specific requirements prior to the start date of employment. We also require at minimum 5 years experience in the fields of commercial, institutional, industrial, multi-family, and commercial projects.
The person joining our team, should be able to contribute to Tower’s growth and help us maintain our position in the market as a client-focused, multi-disciplinary consulting firm.
Past experience in the fields of commercial, institutional, industrial, multi-family, and commercial projects would be an asset in fulfilling this position. We seek people who are team oriented and can contribute to all stages of a project. In

Key responsibilities include the following:
· Work closely with senior designers, engineers, and drafting specialists on projects that include ventilation, building services (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection), process piping, fuel transfer systems, and other mechanical systems;
· Develop mechanical drawings and schedules using REVIT, including preliminary, schematic, general arrangement, detailed design for tender, and construction drawings for a wide range of clients.
· Visits to job sites to conduct surveys of existing mechanical systems, as well as in construction reviews of new mechanical systems being installed.
· Maintain familiarity with current codes, industry developments, etc.;
· Actively work at improving current knowledge of mechanical design.
Membership with an Association of Professional Engineers.
· Proficiency in REVIT, or Autocad.
· Strong communication skills and professional attitude.
· Experience working in design or construction of buildings;
· Good technical, organizational, coordination, and communication skills, as demonstrated through former employment or course work;
· Proficient at reading and interpreting technical specifications, design drawings, and details.
· Desire to develop skills and expand career;
· Willingness to work in the field at project sites as necessary;
· Travel for short durations may be required, and a valid driver’s license is an asset.
